Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data FeelyWrite (we, us, or our) collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service and to be honest about how it works.

Data we collect

  • Account and authentication. Your email address and the credentials used to sign in. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google).
  • Your book content. The manuscripts, outlines, Story DNA, and other content you create in the app. This is stored in our application database so you can come back to your work.
  • Payment information. When you subscribe, your payment details are handled by Paddle, our payment processor and merchant of record. FeelyWrite does not see or store your full card details. We receive limited information needed to manage your subscription, such as its status.
  • Product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. This includes usage events and basic technical information about your device and session.

How we use your data

  • to provide, maintain, and secure the service;
  • to process the AI actions you request and return the results to you;
  • to manage your account, subscription, and billing;
  • to improve the product, fix problems, and understand what is useful; and
  • to communicate with you about your account and support requests.

AI processing

When you ask the AI to generate something, the relevant prompt and the context needed for that action are sent to third-party AI model providers so they can produce the output. This means some of your content leaves our systems to be processed by those providers for the purpose of fulfilling your request. We only send what is needed to perform the action you asked for.

Third-party processors

We rely on the following service providers to operate FeelyWrite:

  • Firebase / Google — authentication and related infrastructure;
  • Supabase — the database that stores your account and book content;
  • Paddle — payment processing and subscription billing as merchant of record (see paddle.com);
  • PostHog — product analytics; and
  • AI model providers — generating AI output from your prompts.

These providers process data on our behalf or, in Paddle's case, as the merchant of record for your purchase.

Data retention

We keep your account and book content for as long as your account is active so the service works as expected. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal or accounting obligations. Billing records held by Paddle are retained according to Paddle's own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can:

  • export your book content at any time using the in-app export feature (docx, pdf, epub, markdown, or plain text);
  • request a copy of the personal data we hold about you; and
  • request that we delete your account and associated data.

To exercise any of these rights, email dhruvitkevadiya12@gmail.com.

Cookies and local storage

FeelyWrite uses cookies and browser local storage for essential purposes, such as keeping you signed in (auth and session) and remembering your theme preference. Our analytics provider may also set identifiers to measure product usage. We do not use this data to sell your personal information.

Children's privacy

FeelyWrite is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers. By using the service, you understand that your data may be processed in these locations.
